Meet Ali VanderLoop and Ty Majeski—two people driven by a mission to make a difference in the fight against lupus. Ali VanderLoop’s lupus diagnosis in 2023 changed her life, but it didn’t change her determination. Now, Ali and her husband Ty, who is the 2024 NASCAR Truck Series Champion, are teaming up with the Lupus Research Alliance to launch a month-long campaign to #AccelerateLupusResearch for a cure! They are joined by ThorSport Racing, the longest-tenured NASCAR Truck Series team.
Lupus is a chronic, complex autoimmune disease that affects everyone differently and symptoms can change over time. The Lupus Research Alliance drives the discovery and development of treatments, bringing the lupus community closer to more personalized, effective therapies and diagnostics. Together, we can #AccelerateLupusResearch and become one step closer to the next breakthrough.

Ty’s LRA Race Shoes Can Be Yours!
Inspired by his wife, Ali, and the lupus community, throughout Lupus Awareness Month, Ty will wear custom-designed LRA race shoes. They will be auctioned off here, with proceeds benefiting LRA’s mission to find a cure.
Ty will debut the shoes at Texas Motor Speedway in early May and will wear them at all races throughout the month.
